In Memoriam

Full fathom five thy father lies;
Of his bones are coral made;
Those are pearls that were his eyes:
Nothing of him that doth fade,
But doth suffer a sea-change
Into something rich and strange:
Sea nymphs hourly ring his knell.
ding-dong!
Hark! Now I hear them,
Ding-dong, bell!

-- William Shakespeare

In memory of my father (1921-1980), who died Nov. 15.

What a wonderful way to eulogize your father. Although it is difficult to morn for him, I am sure he has given you many gifts.

With you in some sense this evening. Lost a Dad who may have been a lot like yours around the same time. Never did connect that well. Very sad but we're hangin' in
there with the questions and the hope and listenin' out for the 'cadences of home'.

Thinking of you as you commemorate your father's passing. Although the years go by, this date must always stick in your heart--I know the date of my father's passing will always be a very emotional one.
